We wanted to take a minute to wish you and your families a very merry Christmas.
As you know, economic conditions this past year have placed an incredible hardship on thousands of our friends and neighbors across America. Many of these are people with families that have lost their jobs and now find themselves on the street with no place to go. Recently, a Boise television station reported on a family with two small daughters that were living out of their car because the city’s homeless shelter was too full for them. Unfortunately, the problem is not unique to Idaho, with similar stories being told everywhere – it’s heartbreaking…
During the holiday season, our family donates time and resources to local area charities as part of our ongoing starfish campaign, and this year is no different. Many of you have asked how you can get involved, and this year the response we’ve received has been overwhelmingly positive. As busy as everyone is this time of year, you continue to find ways to help out those less fortunate at places like Chrysalis Transitional Homes, Safe Place Ministries and the Boise Rescue Mission. It makes us proud to know and work with all of you.
While your willingness to help is an excellent start, each shelter needs additional resources in order to continue giving hope to those that need it most. As a result, Employers Resource will again donate $1,000 to rescue missions in all eight cities where we have branch offices.
We’re incredibly grateful for the blessings that life has brought us and count each and every one of you among those blessings.
