National Payroll Week was founded in 1996 by the American Payroll Association. APA members use the week to spread awareness of the payroll withholding system by educating youth and the national workforce about their wages and payroll taxes.
The official slogan for National Payroll Week is “America Works Because We’re Working for America.” The money that payroll professionals collect from employees’ paychecks through the payroll withholding system is vital to the funding of important government programs that keep America working smoothly–Medicare, Social Security, the U.S. military, and much more.
This week we celebrate our amazing payroll team as part of National Payroll Week. We also celebrate our partnership with America’s workers and companies. Together through payroll withholding, 70% of the US Treasury’s annual revenue is contributed, collected, reported and deposited.

Check out this thought from the former CEO of Xerox: “Employees who believe that management is […]
Have you ever observed a Dungeons and Dragons session; the conversation seems quite nerdy: “Roll a D20 attack roll. Add your STR modifier + your proficiency. What’s your hit total?” Or, “What’s my save? Okay, I beat the 13 Con save.” Being a long-term player of Dungeons and Dragons (D&D), these phrases seem standard along […]
I can’t believe that December is actually here! Some days I’m thinking, “Didn’t we just have Y2K?” Here at Employers Resource, we are very busy getting ready for the end of year and for New Year tasks (like updating tax and benefit rates). We are also celebrating Christmas and being grateful to you for another […]
