George Gersema – Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer
George Gersema is a co-founder and the CEO of Employers Resource. Specializing in educating state and federal officials about the outsourcing of employee administration, Mr. Gersema has a passion for driving health, wellness and prevention breakthroughs for small and medium sized businesses. Educated at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA, he holds Bachelor of Science degrees in business and economics. Working with a variety of small and medium sized businesses for more than 20 years, George has realized his goal of making clients better equipped to grow and become profitable in today’s global environment.
Nationally recognized for his contributions to the industry, Mr. Gersema has served two terms as the President of the Professional Administrative Co-Employers (PACE; previously organized as the National Association of Alternative Staffing), and currently serves as an At-Large Member of the PACE Board of Directors. In this capacity, Mr. Gersema continues to work tirelessly for the development of healthy legislation and regulations for the PEO services industry.
Ray O’Leary – President
Ray O’Leary is a co-founder and President of Employers Resource. Managing the company from its Virginia offices, Mr. O’Leary uses his extensive background in project and program management to drive change and develop innovative products and services for the company. Educated at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA, Ray has spent more than 20 years working with small to mid-sized company owners, helping them target areas for improvement relative to employee administration.
Prior to co-founding Employers Resource, Ray was a partner in the Old Dominion Resource Management Company. Mr. O’Leary is well known in the PEO industry; he currently serves as the Administrator for the Professional Administrative Co-Employers organization (PACE; previously organized as the National Association of Alternative Staffing).
Mary Gersema, CPP-Director of Operations
Mary Gersema is a Co-Founder and the Director of Operations at Employers Resource Management Company, which specializes in outsourcing employee administration including human resources, payroll and health benefits. With an extensive background in administrative operations, employee training and accounting, Mrs. Gersema is responsible for the professional employees at Employers Resource who are ultimately responsible for customer satisfaction and loyalty.
With more than 20 years in the Employee Administration industry, Mary is a Certified Payroll Professional and also holds a certification from the Society of Human Resource Management as an HR Generalist. Her commitment to exceptional service is a foundational principle she established and has resulted in long-term relationships with clients across the country.
As pioneers of the PEO concept she and her husband George are recognized within the industry as having helped direct the development of the entire industry. Mary has spoken at national conferences, was the co-founder of the PayPlus Users Group, and has helped provide expertise and guidance to improve the new generation of software technology that is essential to the industry.
Douglas Gersema, CFP-Executive Vice President
Douglas Gersema is a co-founder and Executive Vice President of Employers Resource. With an extensive background in employee benefits and financial planning, Mr. Gersema is the corporate treasurer, secretary, and senior administrator of the Employee Welfare Benefit Plan. Educated at the University of Oregon and North West Christian College, Mr. Gersema holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Teaching.
With more than 20 years in the Employee Administration industry, Mr. Gersema also holds a Financial Planning Certificate from the College of Financial Planning in Denver, CO.
