Core Values

“Since we started the company back in 1985, there have been four simple values that we’ve used to guide our decision making, as well as how we interact with those around us. They’re more than simple pronouncements; they reflect our core beliefs.”

George Gersema – CEO

At Employers Resource, our core values represent what is most important to the company, and they are reflected in everything we do. Our principles certainly don’t reflect every new business trend that comes along, and we don’t change them with the seasons. These core beliefs are held by everyone at Employers Resource, and can be seen in the way we act towards one another, our suppliers and most importantly, our clients.

Do The Right Thing

Employers Resource is committed to always doing the right thing – morally, ethically and legally. Whether it’s a concrete “right,” such as processing payroll according to law, or a more abstract “right” such as treating the client with honor and respect.

Have an Attitude of Gratitude

We are grateful for the blessings we have experienced as a company, and we are thankful we’ve been spared misfortune during times of industry upheaval.  We recognize we need grace as well as hard work, intelligence and skill.

Commitment to Long-Term Relationships

We realize our success is directly associated with the level of trust we establish with our clients.  Accordingly, we do everything we can to create long-term relationships.  Our staff maintains regular contact with all of our clients, and they know they can rely on us for both the expected and the unexpected.

Have Fun

If we didn’t enjoy what we do, we wouldn’t be doing it.  We firmly believe that the joy we take in our work provides the foundation for our outstanding customer service.  A job well-loved is a job well done.
