Can I dock an exempt employee’s pay?

An exempt employee must be paid his full salary every week in which he works with the following exceptions:

     * The first week he works if it is not a complete week

     * The last week he works if it is not a complete week

     * Any week in which he takes FMLA time
        – if not made whole by vacation or sick time

     * A week in which he takes an entire work day off
        – that was not covered by vacation, personal or PTO time

     * A week in which he takes a full sick day and he either:
        – was not eligible for sick/PTO time under your company’s policy
        – had exceeded sick/PTO time under your company’s policy

     * A week in which he was suspended for a major safety violation
